Garces students host events for Pope's visit

Students at Garces High School are getting ready to host Pope Francis in America all the way from Bakersfield.

Students from the Social Justice Club at Garces High are hosting "Pope Francis Week" to get the students and staff at Garces excited for the historic Papal visit.

Starting on September 21st the students will host a series of activities to honor Pope Francis. 

The events include dressing in papal colors, honk for the pope, handing out bracelets with a message from the Pope, watching videos in class about the Pope and a mass dedicated to his holiness. 

The Pope arrives in the United States on the 22nd and will travel to Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C.
