According to the Tulare County Sheriff's Office, four people have been arrested in relation to the ignition of the Pier Fire.

The Pier Fire burned nearly 37,000 acres just east of Springville in August and September of 2017. The fire was declared completely contained on September 24, 2017.

The Tulare County Sheriff's Office held a press conference yesterday, Thursday October 26, 2017 in which they named the four people arrested.

Isiac Renteria, 19, Richard Renteria, 21, Osvaldo Esparza-Guerrero, 20, and Breana Ojeda, 21, were arrested. The four are all from Visalia.

The Tulare County Sheriff's Office said that the four allegedly stole a car on August 29, 2017, lit it on fire, which then ignited the blaze.

Only three of the four arrested are pictured because Ojeda was able to post bail and was not in custody as of yesterday.
