On December 11, 2016, a drunk driver crashed into a deputy's car.
Around 10 p.m., several Kern County Sheriff's deputies were parked on Casa Loma Drive, just west of Cottonwood Road, working on another call. They were not in the vehicle when it happened, but a drunk driver hit the back of one of the vehicles and totaled it.
According to KCSO, this is a California Highway Patrol case and they will be the investigating agency.
