CSUB students must complete sexual violence training

Training required by federal mandate
Posted

Thousands of students enrolled at CSU Bakersfield must complete a sexual assault and gender discrimination course, or risk having an academic hold on their record.

The training, which is required by state and federal mandate, is an hour-long online course titled "Not Anymore". The course covers sexual harassment and discrimination, stalking, rape, and gender equity in athletics.

The Title IX course was launched last year at CSU Bakersfield, but was only required of freshman. This year, all students must complete the training by Oct. 1.

Students who do not take the online course will have a hold placed on their accounts, which could affect registering for classes the following semester.
