The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified the man found dead inside of his apartment in Oildale on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim was identified as 39-year-old Jack Euris Perrigo.
A postmortem examination will be scheduled to determine cause and manner of death.
At about 1:55 p.m. yesterday, KCSO deputies were sent to an apartment complex in the 200 block of Lincoln Ave. in Oildale regarding a man who was dead in an apartment.
Deputies said the body of the man displayed obvious signs of trauma and homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
