The Bakersfield Police Department released the names of the officers involved in the shooting at the Bakersfield Heart Hospital on Friday.
Officer Felipe Juarez and Officer James Montgomery fired shots at Brandon Clark on Dec. 1 after he entered Bakersfield Heart Hospital with two firearms.
Officer Juarez has been with BPD since July 2006 and Officer Montgomery since March 2012.
BPD said Friday's shooting was the first officer-involved shooting for both Juarez and Montgomery.
The two officers have been placed on administrative leave and a Critical Incident Investigation is underway, per department policy.
