At The Table: Escape to Caribbean Paradise at Mama Roomba

Posted

Mama Roomba has been nestled in Downtown Bakersfield for 12 years. It offers an island getaway whether you are on your lunch break or date night.

The warm colors and Caribbean decor are meant to transport you to paradise even for just an hour. The atmosphere goes hand-in-hand with the food that is flavored with Latin and Caribbean spices.

Victor, owner of Mama Roomba, wants locals to experience something different when walking into his restaurant.

The highlight of the menu is the fried chicken, which was actually featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. It is juicy and crispy, with a light spice.

A new menu item, is the New York steak lunch dish. The tender meat is topped with seasoned potatoes, onions, and bell peppers. It is the perfect way to stay full and healthy during a quick lunch break.

Check out Mama Roomba today on 1814 Eye St. in Downtown Bakersfield.
