Two people were killed after a big rig collided with a pickup truck Tuesday morning in Arvin.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the big rig crashed into the pickup at 6:16 a.m. at the intersection of Buena Vista Blvd. and Tejon Highway.
The pickup, carrying a man and a woman, ran a stop sign, colliding with the big rig. The big rig was carrying 78,000 pounds of gravel, and according to the CHP, had no chance to stop.
PG&E was on scene fixing damaged power lines. About 85 PG&E customers were being impacted.
