Free shoes will be given out to children in need Saturday during the Shoes for School event. 

The event is aimed at helping working, low-income families ($15,000 and under).

Children in elementary school through junior high are eligible. 

There will be a limited number of children's shoes for boys and girls. 

The child must be present for the event and the fitting. 

The shoe event starts at noon and ends at 2 p.m.

It is being held at Americana Tax Service located at 400 Chester Avenue.
