3 suspects arrested in connection with several robberies

On Saturday, September 3, 2016, around 7:00 p.m., Bakersfield police arrested Carlos Ochoa, 28, Raul Lara Jr., 21, and Christopher Santana, 19, all of Bakersfield, during a traffic stop in the area of East 19th Street and Miller Street.

 
A search of their vehicle revealed the occupants were in possession of ski masks, a bb-gun, bandanas and narcotics paraphernalia. All the occupants matched the descriptions of suspects involved in a series of recent armed robberies to businesses throughout Bakersfield.
 
 
As a result of the investigation, Ochoa was arrested and later booked for an armed robbery to the Circle K on 5600 Auburn, which occurred on August 5, 2016.
 
Lara was arrested and later booked for the armed robbery to Market Express Gas on 2500 Wible Road, which occurred on August 10, 2016.
 
Santana was arrested and booked for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
